Les Miserables Playlists

Hello, Reader!

A few weeks back, an idea popped into my head. I thought it would be pretty neat to have a playlist - sadly, with no Les Mis songs on it- inspired by what a character from my favorite musical, Les Miserables, goes through! Needless to say, I got to work compiling songs and I have a couple of Les Miserables inspired playlists for you tonight!

Some of the songs on these playlists are pop songs, such as Tied Together With a Smile, by Taylor Swift. However, some songs, such as A New Life (Jekyll and Hyde) are from musicals!

My first playlist is called the 'Every Word He Says Is A Dagger In Me' playlist. As you might have guessed by the title, this is inspired by the famous lovelorn Eponine.

 



 

The lyrics from each song that remind me of Eponine are:

-Tomorrow Will Be Kinder: A brighter day is coming my way/yes tomorrow will be kinder

-Someone Else's Story: Sadly she realized she'd left him behind/and sadder than that she knew he wouldn't even mind

-Invisible: And you just see right through me/but if you only knew me/we could be a beautiful miracle/unbelievable/instead of just invisible

-Someone Like You: Oh if someone like you/found someone like me/then suddenly nothing would ever be the same/my heart would take wing/and I'd feel so alive/if someone like you/loved me
